How it works
Stock Pop never places an order. It does not connect to your broker and holds no money. You tell it what you own, it watches the prices and shows what each position and portfolio made or lost today and since you bought.
Step by step
- New portfolio: name it anything, like Retirement, Fun money or Watch only.
- Add position: type a company name or symbol and pick it from the list, then the shares you hold, what you paid per share and when. Leave the cost blank for something you only want to watch.
- Import screenshot: take a screenshot of your positions in Robinhood, Fidelity, Schwab, E*TRADE, Webull, Vanguard and others, and the rows are read for you. Check them, fix any number, and add.
- Prices refresh every 20 seconds while the US market is open and every two minutes after hours. Day P/L compares with yesterday's close, or with your cost if you bought today.
- Alerts: switch on a daily close text or an app notification above, and set a threshold for big moves to be named.
- Totals sit in the dark band at the top. Tap it to fold it to one line and give the stocks the screen; tap again to open it.
- List or grid: the list loads with each stock on one collapsed row; tap a row to see its value, day and total P/L and cost, or use Expand all. The grid shows every stock as a card with all of its figures. The pencil edits a stock or moves it to another portfolio, and the bin removes it.
Prices come from a public market data feed and may lag your broker by a few seconds. Totals are before fees and taxes.
People
Owner onlyAdd a mobile number and the app texts that person an invite. Only numbers on this list can sign in. Each person sees only their own portfolios.
Privacy
- What is kept: your mobile number, your name, the portfolios and positions you enter, and your alert settings.
- Who sees it: nobody else who uses the app. Willie, who runs Stock Pop, can reach stored data to fix problems.
- Screenshots you import are read once by an AI model to pull out the rows and are not kept.
- Texts: you get a text when you are invited, when you sign in, and, if you switch it on, after each close. Reply STOP to stop them.
- Nothing is sold or shared, and there is no advertising or tracking.
Stock Pop is a record of what you own, not advice. Prices can be delayed or wrong; check with your broker before acting on anything.
